Radio screen blackout

Recently purchased a preowned 2021 Sierra 1500. The day after we got it home we took it for a drive and noticed that our radio would go silent, then blacked out screen while we are driving. It wont connect to Apple Carplay when the Iphone is plugged into the USB. We took it to a dealership to have it looked at and they "couldn't duplicate the problem" so nothing was done. Immediately after pulling out, the screen went black. This happens every single day, depending on the distance of drive, Ive counted upwards of 8 times in an hour. This is extremely inconvenient if we are connect to a call or using navigation because it disconnects everything until it comes back up about 45 seconds later. Has anyone else come across this issue and does anyone know of a fix?

Try deleting the vehicle from your phone. Do the same on the vehicle side.  Also turn off the CarPlay in the vehicle settings.

 

then enable CarPlay in the vehicle settings

 

Then  reconnect/ pair your iPhone to vehicle.

We have tried that, as well as the fuse and attempting to disconnect the battery to see if that would reset it. We have also reset the radio back to factory settings. None of those have worked.
