Ok I know the information is somewhere on here but I'm not having any luck with correct wording to find it. I want to put a 2016-18 grille on my 2014 sierra 1500. I want to know what needs changed. After hitting the deer with it everything back to the radiator core support needs changed so I thought I would make the switch to the newer version. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I believe you basically need the whole front clip.

Grille, headlights, bumper and all that. The 2016 grille is way more than just the grille.

I mean just look at how different they really are.

That's for a chevy silverado though. I'm working on a Gmc sierra

My bad, but a sierra looks to be the same way. The grille goes lower on the 2018, your bumper will not work.

Hey Homewrecker,

StormZ71 made a very helpful and detailed thread about a 2016+ front end conversion he did on a Sierra, even going so far as listing the parts needed to make it happen.

In the thread, he does mention that due to the grill being larger on the new models, you basically would need the entire swap to be done (bumper assembly, upper cap, etc.) in order to make it happen.

Here's the thread for reference:

Yes this is exactly what I was looking for. I knew it was here somewhere. Thank you for finding it. Since I'm using the offroad bumper my parts list will be a small one.
