I like driver quality. I bought a 64 elcamino a few years ago. All original as it turned out. I didn’t know at the time. I made a low ball offer and got it. Black on black factory air 4 speed. It drove like a school bus. It had been awhile I had forgotten just how bad the old cars drove. So I planned on making it more of a retro ride. I would drive it to work sometimes. My brother liked to build cars, I liked to drive them race them. So he noticed the canister oil filter and open blow by tube. He checked the numbers. All original. 327, 250 hp close 4 speed, posi rear end. I put it on eBay made a tidy profit. I didn’t want the responsibility or headache. My wife already had a pristine collector vehicle. It lives in the climate controlled garage. I really don’t care what it is. I like to feel the sensation of speed. Let someone else have the responsibility. I’m too OCD. It used to drive me crazy. I can appreciate people who like to take the responsibility. I’m glad they do. I’ll look and remember back to those days. I’ll jump in the wife’s Genesis to get gas for her. Get my sensation of speed and be happy for awhile.
I’ve had plenty of nice cars but car shows have never really been my thing personally. I’d much rather be driving or wrenching. But over the years I’ve noticed they are dying out. This one has even been canceled in the past. Hate to see that happen so I brought my Olds out for the afternoon. If turnout was really bad I had the TRX on standby too but thankfully quite a few nice rigs showed up. Nice people too. I may be converted.
Until the engine is on the verge of overheating.
Started after a few times taking the positive battery cable off and on. Now no high speed with ac or normal operation. Bmc error and air bag codes. Went to a local shop and they were able to ramp it up with a computer. They suggested bad grounds. Cleaned them still the issue persist.
At the point I want to run a relay and battery voltage to the fans.
Anyone know what wire on the fans gets full voltage?
