I have a 2002 Sierra that both of the wipers now go down to the normal park position and then come up about two inches and park. Doesn’t matter if it’s cold or warm outside or speed of wipers. They seem to go the full cycle distance, just park high. Is this a pulse module issue or a wiper motor issue?

Thanks for any help!

sounds like a wiper transmission issue but if that checks out it would be the wiper motor is screwed up. Welcome to the Forum !

Could it be motor shaft is getting some play in it?

Thanks. Soon as it gets warm enough on a weekend I’ll get the cowl off and take a better look. Never messed with wipers so wasn’t sure what to be looking for.

Replace the plastic bushings in the transmission arms while you're in there. You'll thank yourself for the trouble.
