This is a first for me today.

I tried to open a YouTube link this morning and there was no sound/phone speaker. I go to adjust volume and it is on Bluetooth and I saw it was connected to the truck Kicker that was in the garage and off. Restarted the phone thinking that was the issue and YouTube worked OK then. An hour later same thing, opened a YouTube link and again Bluetooth connected to the truck Kicker system. This time I opened the garage and dropped the tailgate and Kicker was on with YouTube coming through it.

So I unpaired the Kicker on the phone. I'll start up the truck later and pair the system again to see what happens.

Just odd.

You could try giving the Kicker system a reset. Also, some apps, like YouTube, have specific settings for audio output. See if there are any app settings messing with the Bluetooth connection.

I ended up unpairing the Kicker system. It's been cold, back to typical February weather, so I haven't messed with it since. I'll go through pairing it again once it warms up and likely to use it and see what happens. There's nothing to configure on the Kicker system. At least what 8 can see. Nothing in the settings inside the truck. I disconnected the Kicker in my phone Bluetooth and shortly after, it would be connected. The dumb Kicker wouldn't shut down with the tailgate closed.
