GMC speaker volume while using my iphone

I just recently purchased a GMC Denali Ultimate Pickup and am having trouble getting the volume to come up while using my iphone with speaker volume from my pickup.

 

Can anyone tell me how to do this?

While the person is talking back turn up the volume knob on the radio and same goes for the nav system voice when it's talking to you.

Following along. It's odd there is no setting for phone volume level because it's WAY lower than the radio volume.

 

Same thing applies to the screen brightness. Needs to have a setting to adjust that.
