At my last service the noise was really loud, they heard it and said that it just needed differential fluid changed. And now the issue is getting one because apparently none are in stock. Dealer offers no loaner cars, GM has no policy on rentals other than they may reimburse up to $50 per day. We are now on week 7, no rear end and car is still sitting. Very disappointing!!!
 

GE has been extremely difficult to work with. Everyone works from home or provides extensions that disconnect call. No one has any answers as if this is just okay. 

Going through the exact same thing right now. GM has a TSB and they've changed the fluid 3 times now in ours. The noise never goes away even with the fresh fluid now. It's actually worse now than it was before the fluid change

GM customer service has been nothing short of a waste of my time. 

 

I filed a BBB claim on the vehicle today.
