2024 2500 At4 - retractable step stuck open

The truck has 300 miles on it and today I opened the rear driver side door to grab something out of the backseat and the retractable step deployed as normal but did not retract. No motor sound as if it were trying…have gone in settings and hit deploy and store several times, no success. Passenger side working normally. Known condition?

I received a bulletin from GM TO TAKE MY 2023 Sierra AT4 in for a software update for that very reason , dealer had it done in an hr , go on line to your GM acc page and the you will find all bulletin as well as recalls for your specific truck
