Transmission heat and slipping

2 says ago I changed my throttle body and I have been driving it in an attempt to relearn the new throttlebody; this has not worked. Now my trucks transmission temp is running around 230 and the transmission is skipping between gears at any speed. This morning my truck popped a p0741 code. I'm wondering if this is because the throttle body hasn't been relearned yet or if my transmission is toast.

The torque converter not locking is contributing to additional heat in the transmission. 

 

This may or may not be related to the throttle body... What was the problem and diagnostics related to replacing it? What are the present symptoms?

The P0741 code and high transmission temperature are likely due to a torque converter clutch (TCC) issue, not the throttle body relearn. Check your transmission fluid level and condition first, as low or old fluid can cause overheating and gear slipping. The TCC solenoid or torque converter may need attention. The throttle body relearn is probably unrelated to these transmission problems.
