6x9" in front door?

Anyone think it's possible to cut up the front door panel so it will support 6x9"s? It looks like it would fit, but I'd like to have a second opinion before cutting it up. Thanks!

Where the other speakers are now. There is that 5.25" (IIRC) and the small tweater.

Most 6x9s are pretty deep, they would probably get hit by the windows.

 

I put a pair of them in the doors of an '81 truck, but I had to use a 1 1/2" spacer to get them out further from the track of the windows. I'm not sure that you have room to space them out....At least with the grills on there.

I've seen a many of them in our body style trucks... you'll have to modify the door panel and door opening itself
