Built Myself an Intake

Hey Folks, 

 

Just a few pics of the Intake I built with parts around my shop. Kept the same filter box, used an angle grinder to smooth out all the ridges and dropped a K&N Filter in. Cant tell a huge difference but it looks good!

I’ve done both. This week I’m going to change the transmission fluid on the odyssey 3 times. And take it to the dealership for an oil change. Why? Well I can sit at the bar and watch them perform the check list. I know they do it I watch while drinking coffee. About 20$ more than doing it myself. At 156K miles I’m curious about the front end parts. They’ll check. It’s part of the check list. Last time I had a coupon for wiper blades. About the same price of a parts store. This time a coupon for a cabin filter, yup they’ll do it.

What size is your silicone at the TB? I'm in the process of building one for my gas HD using the factory diesel hood intake bits. I'm thinking 4" should work @ the TB. What did you use for the PCV/catch can to hold it in the elbow?

Elbow was a 3.5'' to 4'' transition. For the piece that goes into the elbow look up bulkhead fittings.
