I ordered new magneride struts for my 2015 Sierra 1500 Denali.  The new struts have a short wire coming out of the top that is supposed to connect to a wire from the truck.  The problem is the old strut has a long wire coming out of the top end that goes hidden, and I don't see any connection end to disconnect.  I'm not sure where to go from here.  I'm not sure I need magneride, but I also don't want to clear codes every time I start it up.  Please help!  Thank you

Hello, if you want to keep true Magneride functionality, trace the OEM wire from the old strut up into the body or fender area. You’ll likely need to remove the inner fender liner or upper splash shields. Look near the top of the strut tower under the hood or behind the wheel well. Once located, disconnect the OEM harness from the old strut and plug in the new one.
