I have a 2014 Silverado Double Cab. The front seatbelts won't retract, or retract very slow. Is there anyway to fix this, or do they need to be replaced? I have tried cleaning them with upholsrty cleaner. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

I've heard that "lazy" or slow retract seatbelts are mostly due to a buildup of skin and grease from the occupants.  Have you tried to clean with something geared more towards cutting grease?  Even something like Dawn?  Plus you want to extract the entire belt, clean, and then leave extracted to really make sure its dry before it coils back up.

My '14,'15, '18, and '24 all did/do it in varying degrees. '24 has 3600 miles and has already started to do it.

I will have to try cleaing them with Dawn. They are really annoying.
