Hello, I have a 2023 Silverado 1500 with 3.0 Duramax. I can’t find when to change transmission fluid and filter in manual other than severe service at 45,000 miles. When is the recommended interval for regular service for transmission fluid and filter change? Also front and rear differentials.

I'd just do the severe service. And do it at no more than 40k. Earlier is better.

Automakers are in the business of making your vehicle last through the warranty period. Your job is to make it last at least FOUR times longer than that. A hell of a feat in this day and age. Extended drain intervals help the manufacturer. Frequent drain intervals help YOU.

I'm actually shocked the transmission is even owner serviceable these days. Normally they say everything is "filled for life" and give no mention of service in the manual, for the reason I mentioned above. Nothing has a dipstick anymore, and everything is done under the vehicle including refilling.

Like I mentioned, everything today is designed to just get through the warranty period - not a minute longer. Changing fluids with TOP OF THE LINE synthetics, and changing them often is the best course of action if your not trading them in every 2-3 years.

Here is my 2 cents, Depends on how much you beat on it will be a huge factor. A good rule of thumb is if just normal City driving with no/minimum towing and no rock crawling lol,,, change it every 18 mos but if you do beat on it i would say every 12 mos.  Also if you do change out the fluid regularly you will not have to buy the top shelf brand names fluids.  Just synthetic is good to stay with
