I have a 2007 Tahoe ltz. I recently removed my rear wiper and wiper motor. I noticed by doing this that my glass pop button will not function. I plug motor in, it pops. What can I do with the wiring harness to make the glass pop functional?? Thank u

You need to look over EVERY SINGLE WIRE near the motor, and anything you touched. If it worked prior, it's an "installed problem" as we call it.

Either something got plugged into the wrong plug (not usually possible), was left disconnected, or got pinched hard and smashed under something that was bolted down.

I think that is controlled by the body control module. And when you disconnected the wipers it interrupts the communication that controls the system. You will have to get a wiring diagram and see what you are dealing with.

Everything is controlled by the BCM / communication these days. If he shorted a comm line, literally nothing would work in the vehicle, up to a possible no crank or no start. Plus at least 10 "U" codes.

I don't think he shorted a comm line. He mentioned that the release button works when he plugs the wiper motor back in. I would imagine that the release button won't work if the wipers are on (just guessing) they probably don't want the wipers running if the glass is in the up position . So when he unplugs the wiper motor the BCM  can't complete the communication and denies control of the release button.  Just my antiquated way of thinking. If he had access to Alldata or Mitchell on Demand they should have the theory of operation and how it works.
