12.1" radios

There is a company called linkswell that is coming out with a 12.1" screen for 2019-2022s that looks like an upgrade but not as gaudy as the 15+" screens.  Ive only seen it advertised on one youtube feed and its not on the market yet.  These look to be a total radio replacement not just an upgraded facade beamed through Bluetooth like most of the others.   Downside is cost.  Main unit is around $900 Bose replacement amp/DSP is another $400.

In the meantime, i just noticed that a handfull of companies on Amazon are selling 12.1" radios that have the exact same bezel.   I doubt they are the same unit as linkswell but i bet they are all the same as each other.  They run around $700.

I am curious how these would be. They appear to be Bluetooth facade replacements but they keep a lot of the features lost by the linkswell.   

 

Anyway just wanted to pass along and see if anyone has any experience with any of them.

I'd be interested to hear from a real user too.  There are so many things the built-in screen does that I am sure they won't tell you if they break anything.   Like trailering, for example.  When you hit the turn signal with a trailer attached, my 2021 shows me a side view that is as good as an extended towing mirror.  I would not want to give that up.  Sure, the factory screen is diminutive by 2026 standards, but giving up functions like that would be a dealbreaker.
