Can someone tell me if there is anything special about the housings that have the cutout with the puddle ligt on them? Are they molded differently from the ones without? Basiclly, can I cut a hole (the size and shape of the puddle light, of course) in a housing that doesn't have the puddle light and snap the light in?

 

Can anyone that has these mirrors pop of the puddle light and see if the housing looks like it has any special molding procedures done to it to hold the puddle light?

Tom, did you ever get an answer on this??? if not I will take a look at mine and get back to you... Looks like they just clip in there and there is plenty of room...

 

You may just want to mount a super bright white LED through a small hole in the bottom of the mirror..
