If its a 350 then why does it say 5.0 on the tailgate?

*Edited*

I'd be interested in making an offer if you show me a picture of the casting number on the block, something is fishy when it is advertised as a 350 when the emblem says 5.0.....

Also, was there bondo or other stickem body filler used when it was repainted? It looks to be that it has been repainted with bondo due to the hole already in the cab corner, if it was used, was it applied sparingly or is it caked on?

It says "79,141 miles" :loser:

:troll:

Your right, I was picking my nose when I was reading the post and my knuckle got in the way of the "79". :banghead:

I apologize for the 5.0 emplem ( i think it's from a 5.0 Mustang, and i am ashamed that it is even on my truck, but i didn't want to mess up the paint removing it). It was on the truck when i bought it from J Rods in North Hampton NH. the milage listed is what is currently on the odometer, not the milage on the motor. I'll get the casting numbers tomorrow evening when i go home, i'm away at college, otherwise i'd list them tonight. Anyone is more then welcome to come and take the truck out for a spin and/or have a mechanic look it over.

If anyone has anymore questions please ask, and i will be happy to answer them to the best of my ability

Any bodywork done to the truck was done before i was the owner, i have done NO bodywork to the truck whatsoever, the only rust on the truck is shown in the pics provided and from what i have found there is no bondo or other bodyfiller on the truck. I will contact JRods tomorrow to see what bodywork they did to the truck when they repainted it so i can provide some more detailed information

Thanks for the interest

As of right now i have run out of space to host the photos of the casing numbers, however, i can send the photos either through IM or email. My screen name is daiglebagel2001.

As soon as i have time to free up some space, i will provide all the photos on the forum

Thanks,

Well.....after a few checks with my "resources"...... :jester:

It came from a 1/2 ton suburban, with a flat tappet cam, and 2 bolt mains....

I am not too keen to a flat tappet motor, and if you convert it to a roller cam, there are oil restricting something or other to deal with....yuck.... I wish it had 4 bolt mains, bummer.....

I think I'll pass, for now, unless the price is that good....

The motor is a 4 bolt main, i know cuz I built it and I have pics of the motor showing it is a 4 bolt main. I'm not much of a fan of the 2 bolt main either and i certainly wouldn't have used one in this application.

The truck is currently listed in the Wand Ad, I have it advertised for $5000 or best offer, but I'd be willing to let it go for around $4300-4500.

Thanks,

Brian
