K&N drop in for sale

[03GMC2500HD]

I have a K&N drop in filter for sale. It is #33-2135 out of my 03 2500HD w/6.0L. Does fit other years and model but check with www.knfilters.com for applications. It only has 186 mi on it so it is basically brand new. Two days after buying it I got a deal on a K&N FIPK and bought and installed it. Paid $60 couple weeks ago and will sell it for $45 shipped.

Have you noticed any performance increase with the FIPK over the drop in? How bout the drop in, big gain over stock air filter?

To be honest I only drove the truck once maybe twice with the drop in. There might have been some better throttle responce but IMO your not going to feel perf increase in the seat of the pants. Just don't have to keep buying new filters is the biggest benifit. Haven't even backed the truck out of the driveway with the FIPK in it. I really don't expect much increase but it definatley should breath better with the big open filter and without the goofy stock air tube. I will probably drive it tonight!

Took it for a spin tonight with the FIPK installed and I can say that I could tell a difference in throttle responce and mid range power it seemed. Not neck breaking power but you can tell it breaths better now. I think the whoooosh of air when you stab the throttle adds to the power...mentally! Sounds like the hood insulation is being sucked off. Worth the $250-$300 they sell for...well...probably not but it does add a certain cool factor to the truck with the sound!
