Delco stock MP3 head unit

I just came across this gm (delco) head unit that plays MP3 discs. Does the new '04 cars have MP3 play capabilities?? Has anyone heard about this head unit or have more information on it??

I don't know what year cars/truck this will work with. But it sells for less than $500 @ GMPartsDirect.com which I think it's pretty high. Anyway, here the part number (10348717) and link to where I found it.

it's an option on the '05 Equinox. It is an mp3 player yep.
