Loud muffler

I added an EDELBROCK muffler to my 2001 Silverado 4.8l auto 2wd. Problem is in town under load there is a drone or resonance in the cab that is horrible. Has anyone had this problem with an aftermarket muffler??? How did you fix???

try stock , anything other than that is going to cause a drone of some type under load. my wife hates my flowmaster 50 at 2000rpm. i like the little hummmm

Spin Tech sportsman Street XL muffler will kill al the annoying resonance for sure

I had the same problem with my Magnaflow cat-back. Loved the sound when you got on it, but that drone was terrible. I switched the whole system out with the flowmaster force II cat-back. The kit comes with a small resonator in the front, and the 70 series muffler. It's nice and quite inside, but has a mellow sound when you get on it. Might be a little to quiet for some of you guys, but it's exactly what I wanted.
