:thumbs:I was wondering what is the normal Transmission temp range for a Chevy Silverado 2500 /w a 4L60e. Pulling a toy hauler - about 10,000 lbs, my temp gets up around 275 durning hill climbs. I do have a tow package which includes a small cooler. I am considering geting a second cooler but is this a wast of money. I have also checked out www.gearvendors.com for about $2500. Is there a cheaper solution? hmmmm - any help?????

If you have a 4L60E in a 2500, you have the light-duty 2500 with a 7200 lb GVWR. With that trailer you are exceeding the max design GVW for that tranny and GCWR for the truck. Nevermind the heat, the thing can't take that amount of weight for long. Also, what's your rear axle ratio? You could easily be overheating the rear axle too!
