A/C problems

I have a 2000 K2500. I can't diagnose why my A/C doesn't work. Can't get any power to the compressor, cycling(pressure) switch. All fuses are good and I've tried a different control module in the dash. Freon is charged? Any help?

You said no power to the clutch cycling switch??? If so you might have a relay problem. But would like more information.

disconnect the low pressure switch and jump it with a paper clip when th e AC is turned on. the compessor wont come on if the refridgerant charge is low enough.

I took my 03 1500hd in a couple months ago because the A/C wasn't working... they said that the older style switches go out, so he put a new one in (it's an 03... how old could it have been?). But this may be your problem as well.

I have a similar problem on my 98, the compressor never kicks in, in any position, and the controls seem to be screwy, in full front vents, it blows towards feet when a/c switch is depressed. any ideas?

Aren't the vents vacuum operated? Or was that just the older vehicles?
