Steering Wheel Controls, DIC and Aftermarket HU?

Ok,

I havn't seen this question asked, so I'm gonna give it a whirl.

 

I have an 04 Silverado with Steering Wheel Controls. If I replace the Stock HU (The CD/Cassette/XM with Bose Speakers), will I lose the ability to control the DIC with the lower set of buttons? I know there's a couple of adapters out there to use the Wheel Controls with aftermarket HU's, but nobody's said if the DIC control buttons still work.

Yes you can still use the DIC the same as before! I know because my 03' still works and I bought the a kit that lets me use the radio controls to control the new head unit. Works great!!!!
