WEll buddy has a 94 hevy 4x4 regular cab long box, the 350 went south today and have a few question regarding modifing the new long blox that will be built for it!

He has located new heads, intake and headers for the new motor, but he asked me about cam. I wasn't sure if you could step up on a cam with TPI!?!?!

Will it be safe to go up to a 278 duration cam, it would be a good cam for hauling, not a bad idle!

ANy ideas or suggestions from you guys would be great,

Thanks, Robert!

Actually it is a TBI system, not TPI.

The TBI uses only a MAP and no MAF. Thus any change to the cam must also be accompanied by a change in the PROM. IF he doesn't want to make computer adjustments he is better off leaving everything stock.
