02 Tahoe Fuel Filter

I just changed my fuel filter on 2002 Tahoe LT (5.3 Liter).

 

I bought the filter from Gm parts direct. After I took the

filter off the truck, I noticed that the part number of the

replacement was different

 

The filter I removed was an AC Delco GF626

 

The filter I got as a replacement was a GF481.

 

Physically these filter look identical in all ways.

 

Does anyone know if I have problem here? I installed the

481 and "seems" to work fine.

Really they are the same filter just a part number change - they are completely compatible.

 

I'm sure they are different somehow, but not sure what exactly that difference is.

626 was discontinued the 481 is the replacement
