Increase in oil pressue

Put in my new cam this weekend in my 95 Chevy K1500 350. The oil pressure has actually seemed to have increased. At an idle prior to the new cam, it was around 30 psi hot. It is now around 40 psi hot. Same brand and weight oil.

Any ideas? The old cam looked in pretty good condition.

The engine has about 90k on it.

Only thing I can think of is that the cam journals that ride in block bearings and/or the lifter diameters are a thousandth or two larger and have a tigher fit thereby reducing oil leakage and raising oil pressure a bit. Lifter could have a lower flow rate too which would increase average oil pressure as well.
