are you thinking about putting them on your SS in the pic?

won't work (that's my best educated guess anyways)

as the helper spring goes on TOP of the leaf spring, if your drop is low enough (like mine) your axle (rearend) should be sitting on top of your springs thus not allowing the helper spring to rest on top of the actual spring!

In the "olden" days I just went to the local spring shop and had them add a leaf or two to the existing ones. This should keep the lowered height the same and allow for some extra capacity. I don't know your application but the u-bolts usually don't even need to be replaced. Jst a thought.
