I passed all three of the tests, I'm now certified to drive the folling postal vehicle:

MiniVan(Dodge C-V)

LLV(S-10 based "1/2 ton" with a low geared 4 banger)

2-Ton(GM based I belive I noticed several GM parts on it)

I also belive I can drive the 1 ton, since the 2-ton is just a bigger version. At least my instructor said it used to be like that, but it may have changed

ANYWAY, the 2 ton must have the old GM 6.6 Diesel.......wow, now I know why it never sold well. you hit 55MPH it it's like it's tired. I think I may have gotten her up to 68 on the highway with the pdeal all the way down, which makes merging a pain. but I did great and am starting the "real" work tomorrow.

There is no "old" 6.6. the Duramax is a 6.6. GM has had 4 P/U truck diesels, the 350 diesel, the 6.2, the 6.5 and the current 6.6. The only really bad on in the bunch was the first one, the 350 which was based on a oldsmobile 350 gas motor.
