Keeping low beams on with high beams

I have a 2001 Suburban and I was going to post a question about keeping the low beams on when you turn on the high beams.  But I saw a little wiring kit from Painless in the Summit catalog that claims to do this.  So my questions are thus:

Anybody here using that (or a similar) kit?

Any cutting and splicing required - or does it just plug & play?

Are you happy with it - does it work like it's supposed to?

Thanks.

I have one in my 97 Tahoe and it works fine.  However, there is a cost free method of doing this.

After you flip your brights on, flip and hold the turn signal lever again, your low beams will come back on.

heres a site that has them too. no cutting is required.  very easy to do. :D .  I dont know anything about the kit that you are talking about.

R & D Accessories

I have this.  It works great.  Just a few days from ordering and receiving.  Some kits actually dim the lights a bit.  Not this one though.  I'd recommend to anyone.

I have the PAINLESS kit.  Very easy install, only took 10 minutes!!!  Low beams are bright and stay bright!  Any holy cow.... talk about LIGHT!!  I love it!  Definately a NEED TO HAVE MOD!!!

The R&D kit is great - install is quick and painless - I also nabbed their fog light one - easy install also.

I will probably get their headlight override later.
