You'll notice a decrease in performance.

Most people here have put them on with just a little cranking of the torsion bars. Once in a rare while, there hase to be some minor trimming of the front air dam.

by the way it is a 4.8 eng. will they rub when they are turned?what shocks should i use? This should lift the truck maybe 2" or more. will have to have my speedo readj'ed. Keeper

Well if you decide to recal the speedo I have a new hypertech III programmer that will do that for you. Email me I will sell it cheap, don't need it as I put stock tires on. Used once, well twice, changed tires programmed, took tires off and restored factory settings. Best of luck. :puke:

Thank you,but i have to get the tires first. if 285's are to big how about 265/70R16. don't want to slow down this truck to much. but want some lift. Keeper :D

I have BF Goodrich 285/75R 16 All Terrains on my 99 with no problems. Speedo is fine too, followed my wife down the highway on cell phones checking our speedo readings...it was dead on. Oh yea, that tire is almost a 33, 32.9 to be exact. I have them on the factory wheels. If I knew how to post pics I'd show ya.

Had the same set up on mine as well and they fit without lifting and trimming on my '99, althought I had the 5.3. Speedometer worked fine and may have been off maybe 1 to 2 mph, but here again I started out with 265 from the factory.
