Brush/Grille Guard for 04 Tahoe

I just sold my 00 Tahoe Z71 and bought an 04. I want to get the GM OEM Brush/Grille guard that has been used for the past few years on the "new" body style. The one I'm talking about appears in the 2002 GM Tahoe/Suburban Accessories catalog, but is not included in the 03 or 04 catalogs. I thought there was no difference in outer body styles between 00 and 04, but the parts and service guys at the dealership tell me that they cant say if the 02 part will fit on the 04.

Anyone know if the 02 Brush and Grille guard will fit on the 04?

berg97, The reason the Brush/Grill guard does not appear in any of the newer GM accessories catalogs is because all of the black ones have been discontinued.

The only one left from GM is the "factory" installed one that became available as an option on the Z71's starting in '03,but its not cheap with a list of $525.41 (part#12335821)plus you need a bracket kit which list's for $229.38 (part#12335824) and you might need a few other nuts and bolts but its hard to tell because it's not available as a complete kit from GM.

As far as the body style goes, in 2000 GM used both the "old body style" and the "new body style" which would be what you have now,if your old one was a new body style the Brush/Grill guard should be the same,but of course the only way to tell is to try it and see.
