Got a Trailblazer

Just about to finalize the purchase of an 04 Trailblazer LS in Dark Gray with the 1SB package and WOL tires . Seemed like I got a good deal figuring the great incentives out right now. Anyway, got some questions pretaining to some accessories I am interested in:

1. Would like to get some running boards, any one have a recommendations and how hard is it to install? Any special tools or drilling I may need to do? Dealer wanted to much for the installation of running boards and I can get the GM boards for like $300 from gmpartsdirect.

2. Recommendations on a bug deflector. Want one that doesn't use tape and can be easily removed should I need to to clean under it. Also want one that won't create too much wind noise.

3. Recommendations on ventvisors. Also want one that doesn't create too much wind noise.

4. Recommendations on floor matts. My job requires that I be on jobsites sometimes and may be muddy and all, so would like a recommendation for some weather floor matts.

5. Recommendations on reverse senesors. Also, if you live in Georgia, do you have a recommendation on installers?

I saw on another forum that GM was giving running boards to TB owners that complained about paint chips on the sill area. This was to stop the road debris from hitting the lower side of the vehicle.

To get a good deal on running boards, try Ebay. There are always several sets on there, as new or barely used. I think they bolt into existing holes.

I am looking for a good floor mat also. I found several, but none that cover the dead pedal area on the left of the floor by the driver.

All you stated can be purchased in Ebay, just watch for the equipmnt it comes with. It should have all the hardware and brackets. I have stock RBs, But I have purchased a set of mats & reverse sensor on ebay. I got the Bug Shield and Vent visors from Yankee Custom here in Mass.

For the accessories you mentioned most of the GM accessories will fit your needs. The GM brushed aluminum running boards bolt up to existing holes.

GM's bug deflector doesn't use tape, however I'm not sure how easily it can be removed, I suppose you can unscrew them, just don't know how the mounting hardware would hold up after repeated removal. I don't know of any bug deflectors that are specifically made for repeated removal. GM's bug deflector mounts to the hood using existing holes in the hood.

GM's vent visors use tape otherwise they haven't added any wind noise that I can detect. Most folks want the in channel vent visors however on my old Explorer the in channel vent visors kept knocking the windows off their channels so I avoided in channels this time around.

For weather floor mats Husky Floor & Cargo Liners are the way to go in my opinion.

Thanks for the suggestions so far. Today I bought the bug deflector from AVS but when I opened it, got several scratches on it, so going to be returning it. As for the vent visors, I am leaning towards the in-channel ones as the last set I bought for my dad's alero did not fit to well. For those with the in channel vent visors, have you had any probs with them in the trailblazers/envoys/bravadas/rainers?

03TRAILEXT: Which type of reverse sensors did you get? Did you install them yourself? If so, how easy and do you have any pics? You like them?
