weird engine noise?

I get this noise like plastic beads being blown through a tube or water being forced through a pipe when the engine is turning over 2000 rpm (not in overdrive) any ideas?

The first thing I would check is your coolant level. I had the same problem, or so it sounds.... Come to find out I had an air pocket in my heater core, all I did was (when the engine is cool) opened the cap on the overflow reservoir, and topped it off, a little bit over the cold fill mark, and left the cap on the bottle, but not tight, just on there, so it could "burp" the air out... once it was done, tighten it up.. all good...
