dyno'd a westers pcm

Has anyone had a dyno session before and after a westers chip was installed, I would prefere stock with only minor mods. But all are welcome to brag. I would just like to hear same real numbers not just seat of the pants

 Don't do that again, there is a reason we have filters on this forum ~Wingnut
. They are kind of pricey especially if the gain is no better then a superchips programmer.

No dyno, but even better, 1/4 mile times.

16.1 stock, 15.3 with Wester's 93 hot tune. The best my Hypertech would do was 15.8, the SuperChips I had next was a little better but I never ran it. Had too many tranny issues with it. The Wester's was next and I'll tell you, my SOTP meter had NOOOO BS in it!!! Way more responsive and faster than the Superchips!

 That's a bit of very impressive info Butch 02 Denali, makes me lean a little towards the Westers. Hay Butch what was the vehicle you mentioned and how many more mods did it have than the chip. Anybody else have anything to offer.

Hey Cool Zr2 just helping the people with what I'm after. If your not clear enough with some, the bull will get pretty deep. The edit was to correct the word prefere by the way, not all of us use spell check. "Cry me a river".

Whopper,

My truck is a 2002 Sierra Denali, with a 6.0, 325 HP, AWD, and 4:10 gears. It was all stock for both tests, including the exhaust, other than a drop-in K&N filter. I've now done the exhaust and ported the throttle body, but haven't had a good day to run it yet!

This is one mod that you WILL feel. Makes the truck feel like I put a mini-supercharger on it!

I agree with Butch! You will notice a difference and the gains are for real. There are some people that have done before and after dyno runs and the increase in power is proven. Do a search around the various forums and I think you will find the info you are looking for...

I think that you guys have convinced me that the extra cost is probably worth every dollor, That is impessive with the actual quarter mile times. Thanks again.

on the headers---you will gain around 5 to 10 ponies with shorties from around 2500 to 5800. with long tubes they gain more torque down low and more hp up to the top and never drop it.

I agree, I'd say almost 2x the gain with long tube vs short tube, with an appropriate free flowing exhaust system of course.
