New Tires

I just got home with my new BFG Land Terrains. I'm very pleased with them. They have more of an aggressive tread vs. the road tires I'd had before. I really don't do a lot of trail driving or what have you, but the street that leads to my school has been torn up for God knows how long and it'll be nice to have something a little meaty. Ride quality is nice and they seem to be pretty quiet.

 

The punks at Wal-Mart however did manage to get grease inside my truck

I've had my Land Terrains about 3 weeks. They are extremely quiet for an all terrain tire. I only wish they would have had the size for my wife's Toyota Highlander. For the money I couldn't beat them

How does the land terrian compare to the all terrian ?

All I can say is they have a similar tread pattern. The All Terrain KO's have a heavier sidewalll; the Land Terrain is only 2 ply in the sidewall. I think the KO's are heavier. There's 14/32 of tread on the 265 Land Terrains and they are load range C. I know the KO's are a great tire, but you're looking at least $200 between the two for a set of four. Also Wally World has a 50K warranty on the Land Terrains. I certainly wouldn't throw off on anybody's KO's but the Land Terrain seemed like a lot of tire for the money.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I've been very happy with mine. For less than $400 clams its the best tire I could find.
