Well I have the truck to pull.

Now to get the 5th to pull (spring)

Oh yea, I'm told I'm going to need a hitch ........hence this post.

So I would like to know the brands/models people are using and the pros and cons about theirs.

Thanks in advance to all.

I went with the SuperGlide because I have a short bed and town a 32 foot WW Toy Hauler, also it needs a special plate on the pin so nobody can steal it or use your trailer  . It worth the bucks.

I realize this is like 4 years old . . . but I am kind of wondering the same thing.

I am on my 4th - 5th wheel camper and 4th tow vehicle. I have been using a B & W 5th wheel hitch but I am going to buy a brand new 5th wheel hitch for my new truck. I have no complaints about the B&W I have been using. It isn't a slider and I have never needed one so I'm not sure what the big deal is with sliders.

I have a B&W. Ihave used it for 10 years or so with no major problems. It does NOT have a slide. I'm replacing it because I'm moving to a heavier camper and just want a new hitch.

If you have and use a 5th wheel hitch please post make model. How long have you had it and any pros/cons?

I have a Reese hitch that I've transferred through three trucks so far. It "does the job", nothing fancy, and I'm comfortable with it. Pro's are reasonable price, proven design, and lots of dealers if you ever need service. Main con is the two rails that remain in the truck bed.

Son-in-Law has a B&W Companion hitch which mounts to the same under-bed framework as his gooseneck hitch (he's a farmer, and pulls gooseneck trailers too). Pros: Very rugged looking design, doesn't leave any rails in the bed. Cons: 5th wheel portion is held in place by a single hardened steel "retainer pin". Price is about double the Reese.

I have the Reese Signature Series. I've had it for a couple of years...so far no issues. I like the hook setup to lock the kingpin, as an alternative to the regular Reese Hitch which uses the jaws. Also there are no rails left in the bed. Cons, if you wanna call it that, are the pucks that are slightly elevated in the bed of the truck, haven't had any problems with them.
