A friend of mine gave me a remote from a 2001 Corvette he used to own, can it be programmed to work on my 2003 Yukon XL?

If it's anything like my '94 PKE than there not compatible with an RKE.

The PKE is passive, and will actualy unlock the doors when your in range without pushing any buttons, and lock itself when you walk out of range.

Best way to know, compare the numbers on the back. If they don't match exactly when comparing the Corvette one to one from your truck, it won't work.
