high idle

I have an idle of about 2000-2500 I replaced the iac it was bad after I put the new one in it idled right for about 30 sec and then jumped back up to about 2000 any know anything about this

Haven't come across that one with a GM truck myself....is it a new body style with port injection? Maybe something's keeping the throttle open?

thanks for the reply I finally got ticked enough to take it to the dealership

we found that the harness had fallen and melted a portion of it so it got all fixed up thanks all
