Range Report XD-40 sub-compact

Well, my lady and myself went to the range to shoot my new SA XD 40.

I was pretty excited as I had it for a week, and was anxious to shoot this little thing, for the first time.

I found it to shoot a little low and to the left. at 10 yards, and not as snappy as everyone said it would be, I dont have a huge ham-hock, but it felt good in my hand, actually I thought there was little difference between it and my Glock 22C 40 cal. in regards to recoil.

At 25 yards outta 9 rounds I put 7 in a paper plate size shoot -n-see target, with 3 being in the bulls eye.

My lady shot it, not really into guns, prior to today. at 10 yards put 7 outta 9 rounds in the target, two, in the bulls eye, and the rest in a pretty good sized group. Now she wants one. so I'll put her thru CCW class, and buy her a XD in 9 MM Subcompact.

All in all I was pleased with the results, and happy with the new addition to my gunlocker.

Those XD's are nice little guns.A friend of mine has one in 9mm and seems to like it alot and I've actually thought of picking one up myself.
