Shock size

I have a 99 Sierra, NBS, that is stock as far as the suspension is concerned. I am wanting to add 2" blocks under the back springs and raise the torsion bars up. I need the rear to be slightly higher than the front (hate the trucks that ride around with the front higher than the rear) so I don't sag when the bed is loaded. My question is, will I need to get longer shocks or will stock lengths work. I need shocks anyway. Also, will the wheels off of the older Z-71's (97-99 OBS) fit on the NBS trucks? I know they are both 16", but I didn't no about clearance problems.

Thanks in advance,

Shane

You will need longer shocks in order to restore downtravel lost when lifting....Or you can move your shock mounts, or you could just shim down your current ones.

As for the wheels, the OBS trucks only had 16s on the 4wd models, the wheels off of the 2wd trucks would not fit (they were 5 lug anyway)...But the 6 lugs off of the OBS Z71s will fit.

The NBS wheels will fit on the OBS trucks but not vice versa. The offset is different on the OBS wheels. They will contact the brake calipers.
