New 285's on 00 Z71

Question, I'm thinking about changing my current stock Firestones (265), for some new Goodyear 285 mt/s. Has anyone notice done this, if so was the ride quality improved or made worse?  I want to do this because 1) the 285's looks a lot better and 2) my truck has never had a good ride like it's supposed to, I think this is because of the Firestones tires, some people say they are just terible tires that don't ride good. Let me know your thoughts

I have BFG's not goodyears.

I know when i went to bfg AT's the ride did improve for the better.  However the noise from the tires went up.  Only negative effect i have had and its nothing that bad either.

that's cool, I'll take a little extra noise in exchange for better ride qualily. I have to do something, this truck hasn't been right for a while and I'm tired of dealing with Chevy

Did you have the ABS reprogrammed? If so what tire size did you have the computer programmed to.

i bought an HPIII

dealer cant reprogram for 285's

I have mine set on 32.75" (only does 1/4" increments)

I did the chalk test which came out to be 31.8".  I set it at 31.75 and the truck shifted horrible.  This was after i had it set at 32.75 for like 7K miles.  I then set it to 32".  Still shifted bad.  Reset it to 32.75" and its fine again.  

Actual diameter of the bfg's is 32.8"
