Flowmaster 17328

Has anyone installed a Flowmaster Force II System 17328 on a 6.0 x-tra cab HD.

I have been warned about possible in-cab resonance w/ Flowmaster.

Most any setup will resonate. You almost need to get a SUV type muffler setup. My setup resonates, but i get way better milage now...

Most people say that exhast wont be too loud, but some dont understand that resonance is like a deep base that bugs your inner ear to death. I reaserched it to death, and It still resonates. I may go have a resonater put on...dunno yet though..

i have flowmaster on my truck, and the sound is awesome! it rumbles like a harley. as for in the cab, i guess it resonates, but how can you have a monster rummble and not hear it somewhat. you either want a soft sound or a killer sound. to me, the louder the better!

Thanks, the inner ear resonance is what I,m worried about. I pull a camper quite often in the good weather months, and I don,t waant to listen to that for a long haul.

I have a flowmaster SUV 50 Series Dual inlet single 3" outlet with 4" tailpipe tip on a 02 crewcab with a 6.0l and the resonance in the truck towing is another story. Towing 6500lbs it has certain speeds that it is much worse I find it at about 65mph as well as climbing large hills on the highway but pick-up the speed to 75mph and the sound of the exhaust goes away almost completly when cruising but always comes back on large climbes when the motor has to work harder. Over all it is really nothing to complain about or change the system, and the differance in the truck is to impressive to bother.

I have the Force II setup on an '03 8.1 crew long and it's a little louder in the cab at highway speeds than I would like. I wouldn't call it resonating but you can hear it. It sounds good at low speeds but I wish it went away over 60 mph, it doesn't.

love my flowmaster 50's. i agree that there is going to be some interior noise regardless of setup. i like flowmaster and have recommended them to others with confidence.

I love how the Flowmasters sound as well. I am thinking about eventually getting this kit for my 2500HD. It seems like a good kit for the money and the install seems pretty straight forward. A little interior nosie is going to happen with most aftermarket exhausts anyway. I think that is part of the reason for getting one, so you can hear it...

I miss the Flowmaster rumble, it has been a long time sense I have had a vehicle with an aftermarket exhaust on it. I used to have a true dual setup on an old K5 Blazer I had and that thing sounded awesome. It had dual 40 series 2 chamber Flowmasters on it without converters. The Flowmaster rumble was just beautiful...
