Back up lights

I am interested in installing some 2-55watt lights to the rear of my trailblazer so I can see the rear of the vehicle at night. What is everyone else doing. Got pics? Got instructions? Please post. Thanks

A pair of 55 watt lights was one of the first things I put on my truck. I also added ultrasonic reverse detectors on the bumper. The lights make a big difference since they light the pavement very well. Make sure you get something that has a wide beam instead of the "projector" style foglights.

Photos of reverse lights.

The kit I bought at Auto Zone was about $39. Iwas really lazy and used the supplied monster zip ties to secure it to the trailer hitch bar. If the zip ties start crapping out, I will use hose clamps to keep the brackets on. I'm not thrilled about the idea of drilling if I can avoid it.

I tapped into the existing reverse lights near one of the bulbs. Someone else on this forum suggested a three way switch to the battery so that you can use them for loading without putting it in gear.

It really freaks out people in the parking lot at night when you use the remote because it lookings like you are backing up.

I have them on the back of my wife TB and the back of my Duramax. I pull too many trailers not to have them on there. I have not installed a remote switch on the wife TB, but I do have one in the WH plug area on my truck.

Email me and I will send you some pics.
