SSR Pics

Ok I'll bite. I believe these pics are one of the show-prototypes. During the Chicago auto show I asked the GM rep where the SSR was and I was told that the original show car has been pulled off of the show schedule for some re-tooling and changes to be more like the final version to be released in 2003. These pics clearly show a car that has been previously painted and also some newer skin sections. What ya think?

While your theory sounds good, i really doubt GM would "destroy" the concept car. GM keeps all of its concept cars in storage.

They are already making prototypes, and i'm sure this is one of them.

I will be getting "offical" word, later this week.

the concept costs a few million dollars prolly. i think it's one of the ones that they will let the car magazines drive

Ok, how about the defaced "SSR" inside of the bed and the already installed bed cover cylinders? I think the wheels shown suck compared to the show car.
