Scyry Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 My Mom has a 2002 4x4 Tahoe and is looking into getting new rims and tires. She wants 17" x 8" rims and is not going to mess with anything having to do with ride hieght. She doesn't want to trim stuff drastically but wants to fill the fenders as much as possible. SO my question is, what size tires on a 17" rim has anyone stuffed under a Tahoe and not had any troubles? I was thinking a 265/70/R17 tire might be just a little too big but I am not sure.
MS3DALE Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 Actually the Z71 Tahoes come with 265/70R17 tires and 17x7.5" wheels so they won't be too big at all (you might not even have to reprogram the BCM for them, depending on the tire size she has now)
