Arctic Cat ATVs...

I'm looking at getting an Arctic Cat...they look awesome, but are they worth a dang? How do they compare to brands like Honda, Yamaha, etc. I'm looking for a good utility 4x4 that can handle going through creeks and such. I'm not sure sure what size 4 wheeler though...probably around 400.

Look around the ATV Connection forums, there is more info there than you will ever be able to sift through.

 

For what it's worth, the Arctic Cat 400 sport ATV (the DVX-400) is actually made by Suzuki, same as the Kawasaki KFX-400. It actually says on the frame: "Made by Suzuki Motor Corporation" on all three of them. Only thing different is the plastic.

 

So you might want to read up on who is actually designing/manufacturing the quad you are looking at.

My neighbor has a big artic cat, either a 400cc or 500cc, I'm not really sure. It's a beast though! He's helped us around the yard, pulling my 4X6 trailer with bricks on it and stuff like that before I got my atv. It never skipped a beat... In fact, he went riding with me last weekend in a flooded field near the house. We drove through 2 feet of water for a good ways, and it never missed a beat.

 

While you're looking, check out Yamaha too, I just picked up a 05' Kodiak 450 4wd and I love it! This year they added Independent rear suspension to them...
