heat/ac blower issues

The blower fan on the 93 GMC I recently bought works only when it wants to. Is there a known problem with these models or should I start replacing relays and the blower motor?

Replace the blower motor. Mine on my 98 went out and after talking to techs, they are relaible, when they stop working, replace them.
