Remote filter kit for 4L60e

Anybody running a remote aux. filter kit on their 4L60e or 4L80e?

I see B&M makes a kit.

Also changing oil in a 88-98 4x4 makes a big mess. Does anybody know of a filter relocator kit for the 5.7L?

Thanks

I'm not but I saw it on B&M's website and it looks like a pretty good addition to my B&M super cooler. Hmmm. I'll have to think about it. Makes sense to have a little additional filtration. It would also add fluid volume which would keep it even cooler. Not sure about the remote oil filter. Someone's got to have an answer for that one.

I have a 98 and the engineers must have had to much to drink when they designed the oil filter right over the driveshaft.

Check out www.jegs.com. They sell one from Perma-cool that is a universal oil relocator kit. The kit comes with several adaptors and you can get either a single filter or dual filter model. Looks like a good kit. May be worth a look. They say it fits 95% of engines. I'm sure the GM 5.7 would be in that category.

Looks like there is no kit with all the parts you would need for a 4x4.

The parts are all available to make your own kit though.

It will need a screw on adapter that has lines for the new filter and the existing engine oil cooler. (Since all the adapter I see mount to the block, not the angled adapter that is already there.)

Or would it be a problem to run the cooler in line with the filter?

I'll check it out and add up the parts to see what this mod might run.
