Goin' to see the pres. Saturday

President George W. Bush, who campaigned in central Florida Tuesday, is expected back in the state Saturday to attend a rally at Alltel Stadium.

 

Gates open at 10:30 a.m., with Bush expected about 2 p.m. The president's brother, Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, will be there, along with other prominent Republicans and country singer Aaron Tippin will also be on the program.

 

This w/e was already supposed to be a good weekend because some friends are coming home from school, and now this.

 

I'll take some pics, that is if the security lets me have a camera.

We got there at 8AM, got in at 10:30 and got out at 5PM. 50,000 people showed up. Some of the pics are bad but I didnt take them.

Awesome pics! That would be cool as hell to see Air Force One up close and personal.

 

 

Of course, being in the presence of President and Mrs. Bush would be cool too.

It was amazing. We got there at 8AM and were about 10th in line to get in the gates, by 10:30 the line was running down the sidewalk and around the stadium. I couldn't even see an end. They said on Fox News that this was the largest rally for the RNC this year. I have heard reports of up to 50,000 people there. It was soo loud too. Then we heard the roar and Air Force One passed over head, simply amazing. Aaron Tippin put on one hell of a show, but before it he was just hanging out like 10' from us. All the speeches were great, some of the best were Todd Beamer's ("Lets Roll") Father, state congress woman Jennifer Caroll, and of course G.W. We were there a total of 9 hours but it sure was worth it.
